This post is slightly different from my previous post of tradional engagement wedding cakes, here I won’t be showing you cakes with fruits fondants or the talking drum and fruit baskets cake, however, I will be showing you cakes that are very portable, modern with beautiful designs that could as well pass as been used for a traditional wedding cake, and if you as a bride don’t want the popular traditional engagement cakes, then this cakes are the right ones for you.
I love this cake so much, the design on it clearly shows some sort of fabric print was the inspiration, having this style of traditional engagement cake would be unique, you can get your cake baker to use your traditional attire as an inspiration for the design work...this cake is absolutely beautiful and very modern!
This is a stunning cake, the colour and the bead detail is beautiful, if you like this cake you can get your cake maker to use your coral bead jewelry (if you are wearing one) as inspiration round the cake, I bet it would look lovely!
Beautiful colour combination, I love cakes that are placed on stands like this, it just looks perfect, very small, simple and modern, add a twist to your engagement day and set the pace!
What can I say about this cake? The fact that's small is a huge torn on, it's quite colourful as well even though the main colour is brown the stripes, roses and the beads just adds a complete personal touch to the cake, I won't change anything!
Wow, I bet when someone see's this cake the first thing that comes to mind is why is it dirty right? But this is absolutely genius, the cake crafted got the idea to the T, I love it!
This looks like the typical Nigerian engagement cake, but I love the fact that it wasn't packed with fruits, less is more, gorgeous colour too, tiffany blue & brown together is absolutely stunning!
Square shaped cakes are quite edgy and sophisticated, not alot of people do them, love the fact that its double tired and the flowers around it, you can recreate by using coral beads or aso-oke, just to add the special Nigerian touch!
I hardly come across plain white traditional engagement cakes this days, but hey, whit is pure, and what best way to start your married life, you can add colour to the drapes and the roses just so it's not too plain for your taste!
